Lyn with "Apricot Nectar" |
The pursuit of masterly quality and technique is a high priority for
Lyn Diefenbach. Her paintings are a celebration of her Christian
faith and the joy found in life. Her work covers a myriad of
subject matter, with her bold florals receiving accolades nationally
and internationally. Lyn’s ability to communicate her ideas has
entrenched her as a respected and sought-after tutor. Following a
very successful workshop in France in 2008, Lyn will be teaching in
New Zealand and Italy in 2009. Her last 3 exhibitions have sold out
and her work is now being produced as limited edition prints by
Origin Publishing.
Lyn was accepted into the International Guild of Realism in
May 2008 and has Master Pastellist status with the Pastel
Society of Australia. She has feature articles published in the
International Artist (October/November 2007, August/September
2006, and June/July 2005) and the Australian Artist
(September 1999/ August 2002). Her work “Ruffled Joy” was
selected for the International Artist book “100 ways to Paint
Flowers and Gardens”.
Her paintings are represented in major regional and private
collections within Australia and overseas.

Villa Madonna has evolved into a retreat for artists
where they can holiday with their tutors and be inspired to
leap ahead in their artistic endeavors. Jakki Boucaut and
her husband Russell have created this artists' retreat for
both budding and experienced artists. Here at Villa Madonna
they can work together and share a myriad of experiences
artistic, historical, cultural and culinary. Jakki and
Russell will ensure that your artist holiday experience as
part of a Villa Madonna retreat will be a vacation that you
will always remember.
They have
worked with and without builders for the last 7 years
nurturing the villa, and the idea of sharing Cottanello and
surrounds with artists and people of like mind gradually
grew. Jakki and Russell have always had a love affair with
everything Italian, and were married in 1990 in Piazza del
Campidoglio in Rome.
Currently they spend approximately 6 months of the year in
Queensland during the Australian summer, and in the European
spring, they return to their home at Villa Madonna in Italy |
